In 2017-18 Colegio Maya implemented new grading and reporting policies, based on a standards and criterion-referenced assessment approach. Grades for individual courses are determined by looking at a student’s growth within a course, with emphasis placed on most recent performance, rather than averaging grades across the year. Academic grades are based solely on evidence presented and do not include factors such as zeros for late or missing work or extra credit for additional work. Learning competencies such as self-management, collaboration and communication skills, are reported separately. Grades are given on an eight point scale and for the purposes of the transcript and to create a Grade Point Average, are converted to percentages using the conversion table. i

It currently has approximately 395 students from 25 countries enrolled in grades pre-K to 12 in an English language curriculum.
