WEBVTT

00:00:00.300 --> 00:00:03.033
When you are a part of Erie One BOCES,
you join

00:00:03.033 --> 00:00:06.300
a force that values integrity,
innovation and service.

00:00:06.866 --> 00:00:09.933
We are a regional public school
cooperative that provides

00:00:09.933 --> 00:00:12.900
a variety of instructional
and professional services.

00:00:13.466 --> 00:00:17.633
Erie One BOCES is one of 37 BOCES
across New York State.

00:00:18.000 --> 00:00:21.233
We are well known for programs
that are instructional in nature,

00:00:21.333 --> 00:00:24.333
such as special education and career
training.

00:00:24.433 --> 00:00:27.166
However,
a good portion of the services we offer

00:00:27.166 --> 00:00:30.433
are not instructional support services
that help public school

00:00:30.433 --> 00:00:33.966
districts share resources
and reduce and contain costs.

00:00:34.500 --> 00:00:38.633
The nature of those services
include finance, human resources,

00:00:38.900 --> 00:00:42.033
communications, policy,
professional development,

00:00:42.200 --> 00:00:45.600
related student services, technology
support, and more.

00:00:46.200 --> 00:00:49.100
For more than 60 years,
we have lived our mission

00:00:49.100 --> 00:00:53.166
to commit to those
we serve students, staff, and communities

00:00:53.400 --> 00:00:57.200
by understanding, anticipating,
and responding to their needs.

00:00:57.766 --> 00:01:01.433
As a liaison office for New York State's
Department of Education,

00:01:01.533 --> 00:01:05.466
Erie One BOCES frequently convenes
educators across our county.

00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:08.500
We are also home to one of the state's 12

00:01:08.500 --> 00:01:11.466
regional information
centers, known as a RIC.

00:01:11.900 --> 00:01:16.000
The Western New York Regional Information
Center, or WNYRIC provides

00:01:16.000 --> 00:01:19.433
technical solutions
to more than 100 public school districts

00:01:19.433 --> 00:01:22.466
across
five BOCES regions in Western New York.

00:01:22.866 --> 00:01:25.433
