This video will walk you through how to register and access your Tomball ISD Schoology Parent Account.


To begin, you'll need the unique 12-digit Schoology Access Code for each of your students. This code is located within your Home Access Center. Navigate to the Home Access Center portal at grades.tomballisd.net/HomeAccess and sign in. Look within your student's profile information to locate the access code. If you are unable to find the code in Home Access Center, please contact your student's school Registrar for assistance.
Once you have the code, you can register your Parent Schoology account. Go to the registration page at app.schoology.com/register. Click on the word "Parent" and then carefully type or paste the 12-digit Access code into the designated field. Next, type in your information—your name, email address, and a password—and click Register to complete your account setup. After your account is created, you can sign in anytime by navigating to app.schoology.com.
If you have more than one student, you'll need to link them to your existing account. To add an additional student, click the arrow next to your name at the top right corner and click Add Child. Provide that child’s unique 12-digit code from Home Access Center. You must repeat this process for each additional child you have in the district. To view a student’s course materials, you need to switch profiles. Click the arrow next to your name again, and then click the child’s name to switch to their view. Once in the student's profile, click on Courses at the top, and then choose the specific course you would like to see. As a parent viewing a student’s course, note that your access is limited: you may not submit assignments, take quizzes, or comment on student-only discussion threads.
If you wish to access a specific Tomball ISD District-Provided Parent Course, ensure you are in your own profile first by clicking your name and verifying that your name is checked. Then, click on Courses and then click My Courses on the right-hand side of the screen. Click the blue Join Course button and type in the course code provided by the District.

If you cannot find the Schoology Access Code, your school’s Registrar is the correct contact for retrieving the access code.
If the Schoology App doesn’t follow the directions laid out in the video, the best experience to register for Schoology Accounts is typically in a web browser, such as Chrome or Edge, due to issues outside the district’s control with the mobile app registration process.
If a parent can only see their account, the parent must not only add their students but also switch to the student profile using the dropdown arrow next to the parent's name.
If you can’t see all your students, you must manually add each student individually to your account using their unique 12-digit code.
