Work Session Poland Board of Education held May 16, 2022 
 
A Work Session of the Poland Board of Education was held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., in the Dobbins Board Room, 3030 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio. 
 
President, Mr. Polis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Members present for roll call and answering their names were Ms. Colucci, Dr. Dinopoulos, Mr. Polis, Mrs. Elia, and Mr. Warren.  - All Here. 
 
Presentations 
May Forecast Update FY22 - Treasurer, Janet Muntean – Treasurer Muntean presented the May 2022 Five Year Forecast (Update) to the Board of Education.  The forecast will be board approved at the regular meeting on May 23, 2022, then submitted to the Ohio Department of Education as required. 
 
Report Card Reforms - Dr. Hoffmaster – Dr. Hoffmaster presented the new report card reform and explained the changes in which district performance is rated/scored. 
 
Mr. Ed. Muransky, Jr - Volunteer Community Group – Mr. Muransky, Jr., updated the board on how the forming of the Volunteer Committee Group is progressing; currently there are six members on the planning committee both with and without school age students. The goal is to have between 25-30 meetings with voters over next several months to discuss potential plans and cost associated with the plans.  Superintendent Hockenberry explained that GPD will be presenting on May 23rd with preliminary information.

  At 7:06 p.m. Mr. Warren moved and Ms. Colucci seconded with all members present signaling aye to enter into executive session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee or official and preparing for, conducting, or reviewing negotiations or bargaining sessions with employees. 
 
 
Reconvene and Adjourn Work Session 
 At 9:06 p.m., Ms. Colucci moved and Mrs. Elia seconded with all members present voting aye to adjourn the meeting.  Motion passed 5-0.
