Board of Education Facilities Retreat Meeting held March 5, 2022

A Facilities Retreat Meeting of the Poland Board of Education was held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 8:00 a.m., in the Dobbins Board Room, 3030 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio 44514

Mr. Polis called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Roll Call:    Ms. Colucci, Dr. Dinopoulos, Mrs. Elia, Mr. Polis, and Mr. Warren.  - All Here.

WINTER RETREAT Ð Superintendent Hockenberry

Superintendent Hockenberry welcomed those in attendance and conducted a warm-up exercise.

The following activities were conducted by individuals and/or groups:

* What are the favorable things going on at Poland Local Schools right now? (What is going well?)
* What are our unfavorable things going on at Poland Local School? (What is not going well?)
* Illustrate 4-5 challenges the Poland Local School district has regarding facilities?
* Illustrate 4-5 opportunities the Poland Local School District has regarding facilities?
* What are your top 4-5 most important values regarding the development of a facilities master plan for Poland Local Schools

Members present shared their individual plans and Superintendent Hockenberry briefly discussed the communication strategies and next steps to engage the community.

Mrs. Elia was excused at 10:57 a.m.

Adjournment
	At 11:17 a.m., Mr. Warren moved and Ms. Colucci seconded with Dr. Dinopoulos and Mr. Polis voting aye to adjourn the meeting.  Mrs. Elia not present at adjournment.  Motion passed 4-0.
