He also holds school records in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle, 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400- yard freestyle relay. PSHS Brian Benfield - Congratulations to Mr. Brian Banfield for being honored by the NEOIAAA and winning the Meritorious Service Award. This is an award voted on among the Athletic Directors around the state. Mr. Banfield is on the Northeast Board of Directors and has consistently contributed to improving and enhancing the athletic opportunities for the students of Poland but also for those around the state. Exceptional Art Show - Poland Seminary High School would like to commend and thank Mrs. Holub and Ms. Ignazio as well as all the Poland students that assisted in the second annual Exceptional Art Show. Mrs. Susan Holub initiated this idea last year and it tripled in size this year. Poland students and students from around the area had their art exhibited for all to see and enjoy. Poland Players - The Poland Players made history with their production of Shrek, the Musical by selling out for the first time ever not only once, but twice at the Friday and Saturday evening performances. Thursday night saw the highest ticket sales for any opening night as well. Dates are Friday, May 24, 2019 returning Monday, May 27, 2019. Cost per participant is $200.00 per student. Itinerary and list of chaperones are attached. The registration fees and expenses will be paid out of the team account through funding and fundraising. Any additional funds needed will be paid for by the student’s personally. Approval for Transition Days – Mark Zura – Resolution #2019-91 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mrs. Zedaker seconded with all members present voting aye to approve up to fifteen (15) days at per diem rate for Mark Zura for transition days to be agreed upon between April 29 and July 31, 2019. Approval of Contract for PSHS Guidance Counselor – Resolution #2019-92 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mr. Shovlin seconded with all members present voting aye to approve Elizabeth Calderon as Poland Seminary High School guidance counselor for the 2019-2020 school year. Approval for Transition Days – Elizabeth Calderon – Resolution #2019-93 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mr. Shovlin seconded with all members present voting aye to approve up to five (5) days at per diem rate for Elizabeth Calderon for transition days to be agreed upon between April 29 and July 31, 2019. Approval of Classified Retirements – Resolution #2019-94 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mr. Shovlin seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the following classified retirements for the 2019 school year. * Susan DePerro – Poland Middle School Monitor. Effective: August 1, 2019 Acceptance of Tartan Benefit Services for 2020 Policy Year – Resolution #2019-95 Mrs. Zedaker moved and Mr. Shovlin seconded with all members present voting aye to accept Tartan Benefit Services as the Worker’s Compensation Third Party administrator for the Poland School District for the 2020 policy year. The annual fee is $500.00. Authorization to participate in BWC Group Rating for 2020 – Resolution #2019-96 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mrs. Zedaker seconded with all members present voting aye to authorize the Treasurer to participate in the BWC Group Rating Program with Comp Management LLC, as the District’s individual representative beginning January 1, 2020 thru December 31, 2020 with an annual fee of $510.00. Approval of OHSAA Membership for 2019/2020 – Resolution #2019-97 Mr. Riddle moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the resolution authorizing the continued membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2019/2020 school year. Approval of 2019 Summer School Tutors – Resolution #2019-98 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mrs. Zedaker seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the following Summer School Tutors, summer of 2019, for extended school year services as identified in the individual child’s IEP at the rate of $19.00 per hour. Mary Hernon Acceptance of Supplemental Resignations for 2019/2020 – Resolution #2019-99 Mr. Shovlin moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to accept the following supplemental resignations for the 2019/2020 school year: Beth Queen - Robotics Approval of Shared Service Contract with Springfield Local School District – Resolution #2019-100 Mrs. Zedaker moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the two-year shared service contract with Springfield Local School District being the fiscal agent for the services of Julie Bercik, Community Engagement/ Public Relations.  This contract includes five school districts that will share the cost of the contract as well as the services provided in this contract.  Adoption of paper/pencil option for ELA Testing – Resolution #2019-101 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mrs. Zedaker seconded with all members present voting aye to adopt the option for paper/pencil for ELA Portion for test administration of third-grade state assessments for students at McKinley Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year recommended per Mr. Purins, Principal Poland Middle School and McKinley Elementary. Approval of Continuing Contract for Erica Donahue – Resolution #2019-102 Mr. Shovlin moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to approve a continuing contract for Erica Donahue, Union Elementary Teacher. Mr. Michael Masucci, Union Principal, is making the recommendation. Erica has fulfilled the requirements to obtain a continuing contract according to Ohio Revised Code 3319.09 and 3319.11. Approval of Continuing Contract for Lori Moncilovich – Resolution #2019-103 Mrs. Zedaker moved and Mr. Riddle seconded with all members present voting aye to approve a continuing contract for Lori Moncilovich, Poland Middle School Teacher. Mr. David Purins, Middle School Principal, is making the recommendation. Lori has fulfilled the requirements to obtain a continuing contract according to Ohio Revised Code 3319.09 and 3319.11. Approval of Contract with ADM Goodin for 2019 Season – Resolution #2019-104 Dr. Dinopoulos moved and Mr. Shovlin seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the contract with ADM Goodin, LLC/Brian Goodin for landscape maintenance and mowing for North Elementary Property for 2019 season. Recommend to Increase Summer Help Hourly Rate – Resolution #2019-105 Mr. Riddle moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to approve the recommendation to increase the summer help hourly rate of $8.65 to $10.00 per hour. Authorization of Dismissal of Case – Resolution #2019-106 Mrs. Zedaker moved and Dr. Dinopoulos seconded with all members present voting aye to retroactively authorize and approve dismissal of Case #SE3701-2018. Reports/Presentations Foundation – Mrs. Zedaker reported the Poland Foundation for Educational Excellence is preparing to announce the honorees for next year. Also, the membership drive is beginning.
