School Committee Policy


ADMISSION OF NONRESIDENT STUDENTS - JFAB

A student shall have the right to attend the Brockton Public Schools so long as he/she actually resides in the city. No nonresident pupil will be permitted to occupy a seat in any of the schools of the city without the written permission of the Superintendent or through school choice program approved by the School Committee.

If a student moves out of the district on or after April 1st, that student will be allowed to remain in the Brockton Public Schools until the end of that school year. Transportation will not be provided by the district.

Grade 12:

Permission may be granted for a student who has completed at least two years at Brockton High School, to finish his/her senior year if the change of residence occurs after the student has been declared a senior.
