Gifted and Talented/GATES (4th-12th)

I serve as the gifted and talented teacher at Pendleton County Schools.
This marks my 22nd year in education and my second year within the
district. I look forward to collaborating with students, families, and
fellow educators across all schools this year.

Kentucky statute (KRS 157.200) defines a

gifted individual as an exceptional student who possesses
demonstrated or potential ability to perform at an
exceptionally high level in one of five areas:

General intellectual aptitude

Specific academic aptitude

Creative or divergent thinking

Psychosocial or leadership skills

Visual or performing arts

Students who possess demonstrated or potential ability to
perform at exceptionally high levels or referred to as high
potential learners.

The purpose is to provide early enrichment to develop
talents
